About Me

Marcus smiling at the camera

Marcus Griffin is a Christian Author of the novel Nothing Left to Give, published in 2020, the first title of the Nicole Peterson Series about a child piano prodigy, Nicole Renee Peterson, and her journey to perfection and her hellish life with a mother who will stop at nothing to attain her desire.

Marcus started his journey of the story in August 2006 after a ground shaking experience that put him on a therapeutic journey to fully understand real questions like where is God when all hell breaks loose in a life? He has spent the last 17 years learning the craft of writing through classes in creative writing, fiction, and screenwriting from UCLA, Gotham Writers Workshops, and other venues. Marcus also completed a UCLA professional screenwriting course in 2020.

Marcus is a professing Christian of over 40 years who retired after almost 22 years in the Air Force. While at various bases, his love of music and people opened up an opportunity as he led a Children’s Choir, sang on a Gospel praise team, men’s groups, and choirs, and being a mentor and counselor to many. His hearing and experiencing of the good and the bad in the Christian walk and church found its way into his stories which he equates to the edgier side of Christianity. His flawed characters give the reader on a thought-provoking emotional roller coaster ride.

He lives with his wife of 34 years along with their son just outside of San Antonio, Texas.
